 Romeo Orsi clarinet

I have an older clarinet made in Milan it says: Made by Prof. Romeo Orsi Milan on it. Anyone know anything about these clarinets and how I might know how old it is?

Rendall "Clarinet" lists Maino & Orsi 1880 - as makers. I have seen more recent Orsi horns. Mark C can help you further. Don

I believe the LA Sax company markets a contrabass saxophone which is actually made by the Romeo Orsi company. You may be able to find out more about Romeo Orsi by contacting LA Sax --- try: http://www.lasax.com/
