Hey everyone.
I am in DESPERATE need of an E-flat soprano solo for solo and ensemble this year. Last year, I played a version of Rimsky-Korsakov's "Rose and Nightengale." It was extremely easy, but I experimented with dynamics and got great remarks. I had a horrible time finding even that easy solo...
So, please, if anyone knows of any sources that would help me find one, people to e-mail, or pieces... please help me!
I can play any level solo... preferably a 4 or 5 though.
Thanks in advance,
Mary Beth

Mark-
THANK YOU SO MUCH.
Just out of curiousity, how did you find these?
Music warehouses have been no help; thanks once again.

Mary Beth - they're in the Composition Database here on Sneezy, but the searching brings back too much right now. I've been slowly (over a year now - ack!) been straightening out the data, making it uniform, and will be putting it back in a new format in the future. I think everyone will like the new format, and it'll be a lot easier to add new compositions (along with integrating the discography later).

Hi again...
sorry for all the questions.
I went to the Malecki Publishing website- it claims to be one of the largest- and failed to turn up any of the Eb solos. Where would you recommend I go to order them? (I am assuming it would be like finding a needle in a haystack if i tried to find them at a local music store)... any ideas?
Thanks in advance (again)

The American Music Center link in the Resources Section. For the others, try the SheetMusicPlus link I have on my pages; if they have it & you buy through them, you help Sneezy, too (I get a small percentage).
If that fails, call Luyben's Music (Resources/Retail). They're very good at researching the music.
In the case of the one premiered by John Bruce Yeh, I'd imagine you can contact Mr. Yeh via the DePaul faculty pages.
Good Luck!

Well, i tried your suggestions. Luyben's has a few pieces- none of your suggestions. Yeh from De Paul didn't have an email address. I did find the Maganini and the Heim at Pepper's Music online. However, the Heim was listed as alto clarinet... not eb soprano. we will see... thanks!

Mary Beth - try contacting Julie DeRoche at DePaul - jderoche@wppost.depaul.edu or possibly Gregory Smith could help you contact Mr. Yeh - gregory@gregory-smith.com
Cheers,
