Many, many people here on the BB double on Sax (I do, as well).

For vibrato help, do a search here under "Vibrato" or" Vibrato, sax" and you will find much information.

Most of the suggestions will be to tell you not to use vibrato on the clarinet - skip over those postings as that is a different argument for a different day and is not what you're asking - and find the postings that will give very helpful advice and suggestions for how to produce vibrato on clarinet and sax.

Four to the beat, that is: in 4/4 time each quarter note gets four vibratos :)
At least this is a very good place to start - you can vary it after you get a consistent handle on this basic.

I do vibrato by doing what clarinetists are always told not to do--I move my jaw. However, I have heard players trying vibrato with the breath (pulsing) and one local legendary jazz clarinetist who did the vibrato by shaking his right hand. Whatever method--I recomend moving the jaw--you use, it should always be even and in style. To learn "style", do a lot of listening, including vocalists who always employ vibrato for effect--and sometimes to cover serious intonation issues. Listnen to any David Sandborn CD--he is a master of tone bending technique.

This is about as good as you'll get, and a whole host of useful links, together with a very active sax forum.
