Are instruments pitched at A440 and A442 subtly different over the whole body of the clarinet, or are they the same set of upper/lower joints and bell but with different barrels?

as far as i know, different over the whole length... just putting a short barrel on a 440 clarinet and trying to play at the higher pitch (in my experience 443 or 445) is not impossible but takes a lot of work- and quick instrument changes are not helpful.
it's quite possible that some clarinets (pitched at the student market?) are advertised as "high pitch".... but are no different except for barrel, but for professional instruments the whole instrument is different.

Buffet Festivals are advertised as A440/442. I read somewhere (might have been the Q&A section of the Boosey website) that, with the Festival, the difference is in the barrel length only, not the body of the instrument. You get a 66 and 65mm barrel with the Bb and a 66 and 65 with the A.
Buffet advertise their RC model as being available A440-444. I'm sure there'd be 2 versions of the RC body to bridge this pitch range.
