I just bought one of the new Vandoren microfiber swabs. When I tried to pull it through my clarinet it didn't get very far. Has anyone else had this problem? I usually use a silk swab which goes through very easily for me.

Silk swabs are by far the easiest and best to use...they will go through the clarinet the easiest and will not get stuck or damage any of the inside tubing on the clarinet.

I tried the new VD bass clarinet swab and found that it was not long enough to put through my low C bass (two long joints assembled). Also, it seemed too thick. I took it back for a refund.

I have had that problem and regret using one. It got stuck on the F thumb key inner tube and busted when i tried to remove it. Although I may have contributed to the damage, it wouldnt of happen if I used the swab. It was to thick.
