I'm looking to buy a new professional quality A clarinet. Does anyone know of any reputable dealers in the United States ? Can anyone recommend a good A mouth peice ?
Also, I currently have an R13 Bb and was wondering if anyone knows how I can look up the serial number to see how old it is and to confirm that it is in fact an R13.
Thanks !

You can check the serial number by going to the top of the page and click on the "equipment" tab.

Your B flat mouthpiece will go on the A too.

johnny
good luck in your pursuit of an A.
A good A (any clarinet) is hard to come by. If you don't have the $$$$$ for a new one try the classifieds here or ebay as there sometimes A's on there..like l;ast wk and now. Wherever you select one from , hopefuly one among at least several, figure on adding more $ for an o/h (if used). One little trick with an A is that many atime the throat notes are stuffy. Having the vent tube changed to a vent tube for a Bb will usually make a noticeable difference.
