Has anyone removed or had professionally removed the center part of the inverted Bonade ligature?
I was curious about having it done but dont know if its worth the sacrifice. I've been using for some time Vandoren's Optimum Lig.
Your comments would be appreciated.

CPW -
It's an inexpensive experiment, easy to do with a hacksaw and file, and Marcellus did it. People on the earlier thread said it made an improvement, or at least a noticeable difference. I think it's definitely worth bothering, if that's what interests you.
Best regards.
