I am with the 98th Army Band at Ft Rucker, AL. My fellow clarinetists and I are going to start working with the high school clarinet players in the area. I have never taught anything like this before, so if anyone has any advice please feel free to respond. Also, if anyone has any cool ideas for names for the group please put them down as well. Thanks!

Hi S C - Have fun with WW groups [incl. Fr horns! as neeced] , ensemble playing, IMHO, is The Best Way to improve individual playing, partic. if you are alone on a part, as I was on alto cl ! Our Cl Ch went under the name C A T S, cant recall the words, but was great experience. I found an old prgm., tunes listed, will post if you are interested. Lots of arranged music, see in Brymer, Lawson etc. Don
Thanx, Mark, Don

Will this be strictly limited to HS band students, or will it be open for clarinetists in your region no matter what their age? There may be some older than HS-age people who may also be interested.
However broad your outreach, this is a great thing to do, and you should be commended!
