I remember finding a website explaining the french cut and the advantages that it's supposed to have. Does anyone here have any opinions on french cut reeds and maybe a few recomendations of ones to try?
Still going through the reed searching phase. It's dificult cause I can't afford to spend money for a BOX of reeds only to find that they are the wrong strength or something. I have my list of "reeds to try" but it's taking a while to get through it and I am slightly interested in french cut since they are supposed to have a good rep.

Sorry. I just edited the post title to include FILE CUT. That's what I was worried about.

I meant File cut reeds. Sorry about any confusion. I'm just curious as to whether these would be ok.

I do absolutely anything I can to avoid file cut reeds on clarinet or sax. The only exception is on the C melody sax where blue box Vandoren tenor reeds work best. File cut reeds squeak more!
