I would like to see what Bay ligatures look like but I can not find one pictured in the online catalogs. Could someone post a link.
BTW the Bay web site does not show anything.

Thanks....although still hard to see. Are they inverted or standard.
Are they worth it??
Mr. Bay must be a Baroque artist judging by the engraving.

The best pic I have found is in Weiner's [home copy] catalog, appearing to be 3 horizontal bands with several vertical "tie-together" strips, and MAYBE 2 vertical "reed-gripping" [ala Bonade?] strips, 2 screw clamping. I did look into patents for their type of pic, if there is one, it may be older than can be shown. Did find "his" thumbrest and Bb key patents if anyone is interested, and a multitude of ligature patent numbers. Luck, Don.

Thanx, Mark, Don

Here are some more pictures of the Bay ligature from a current eBay auction (not mine).

That is a good pic. Are they all single screw inverted?

The ebay ligature is NOT the Bay lig that you will find in a shop.
From the description it looks like a prototype.

The commercialized Bay lig is the one found on the weiner web site.

I decided to figure it out since I had access to a corporate long distance phone...I called Mr Bay who was very cordial and informative. The single screw model is called Quintescence and is difficult to come by. Even he didnt have them in stock. His main supply features 2 screws. So the mystery is solved.
