The Beatles fake book I was looking for, requested info on in an earlier post. The one I bought is called... quite imaginatively... The Beatles Fake Book. It's black, or very dark gray, and spiral bound. I believe someone did mention this book in replies to my post.
Also, there are four bars to a line. Guitar tablature, but it doesn't take up excess space (I've got nothing against guitar tabs, only the space they take up).
Tunes that take up more than one page are on facing pages - no flipping required.
Quite complete.
Serious, not simplified chords.
The only fault I find is that they'll start a tune at the bottom of a page, just get one line in, and then go to the next page. This makes more work when you photocopy. Oh, I forgot, you're not supposed to photocopy copyrighted material. Hey, I never said I photocopy copyrighted material!
It's published by Hal Leonard. You folks who live in the EC (European Community?), Australia and New Zealand can't buy it... says it's not for sale there on the intro page.
Cost me $32.50 at Sam Ash in the Philadelphia, PA area. Not cheap, but worth it to me.
