 Repertoire suggestions...

OK, I am literally days away from starting the school year... All I know is that my teacher wants me to play the Osborne Rhapsody for Solo Clarinet. I've got a recording, it's awesome, I can't wait to start it... But what ELSE am I gonna play? I have no idea! I was thinking about Weber #2 in Eb, 1st and 2nd movts.
What are good 'starting' pieces for college? What will prepare me for 2nd year and advance my playing, in any and all ways?

Thanks in advance, again! =]

well, what have you played already?
Here's what I've played in college so far...
Off the top of my head:
Hindemith Sonata
Rosza Sonatina
Solo de Concours--Messager
Weber Concertino (actually did this in hs)
Weber--Grand duo concertant
Weber--either concerto (I haven't done them)
Osborne Rhapsody (which you said you will do)
Brahms--2nd sonata and 1st sonata
Stravinsky 3 pieces
Improvisations on a martial inversion--paul harvey
Poulenc Sonata

there's so many....

Try the Bach transcriptions of the violin partitas and sonatas. I work on them and they are known as one of the most challenging and rewarding works for the violin. These piece will help your technique and interpretation skills. My favorite pieces from them are the Double, Corrente, and the Double (presto), my absolute favorite, from the violin Partita #1 and also the Allemanda, Corrente, and Giga from Partita #2. However, some of these piece will not be very suitable for public performance.

Thanks guys!
My teacher has talked about me doing arrangements of the Bach Cello Suites and the Six Studies in English Folksong. Thanks for triggering my memory.

In the least year or two, I've done Poulenc Sonata, Weber Concertino, Weber F minor, Arnold Fantasy for Solo Clarinet, Five Bagatelles, Finzi Concerto, Stanford 3 Intermezzi... I'm sure there are many many more, just can't think of them off the top of my head...!
