 Vandoren Reeds....a Recap
Author: Corey
Date:   2003-02-10 21:36

As I said I was going to my local shop today...So i went and found out that they dont carry V12's ( I thought they did) but I picled a couple of traditionals and they were extremly good....better than the mitchel luries I had been playing! They play as well as they did about a year and a half ago when I first discovered them! I am now permanatly switching back to vandoren ( until I find something better, if that's possible) thanks again -Corey

The sound of a good VanDoran (V12 or Trad.) is still hard to beat, although there are lots of good competitors now on the market that are trying to do just that--Gonzales and Rico Grande Concert reeds, in particular. Good luck!!

I like traditional Vandoren's. They work well for me right out of the box. I play a 2 1/2 reed on a Vandoren A3 crystal mouthpiece with a Vandoren Alto Sax Optimum ligature. Great combination!
