[Deleted by the Webmaster. This "competition" is, in my opinion, thinly diguised advertising on behaf of the composer and his (personal) publishing company, and comes with what I feel is an unacceptable clause:
"The applicants grant permission for [deleted] to use the submitted recordings and their identities for promotional purposes including, but not limited to, use on its web site, submission to composition contests, and release on a Compact Disc. "
In other words, you play his music, he judges you, and if you win, he gives you a small sum of money. However, he has 100% rights to your recording whether you win or lose - and he can do anything he wants with it.
That's fair if you read all the fine print, but somehow I don't think everyone does.]
