I would like to hear your comments about these two mouthpieces. I play a Leblanc LL with a B45. I am very curious about these two mouthpieces. If I hurry I can get a nicely priced LC3 but the Morgan intriques me as well.

The Combs LC3 was too close a lay for me. I play a Portnoy BP02 much more effectively with my LeBlanc Dynamic 2.

I have an LC3, but for some reason it didn't work well for me. I just can't get comfortable with it--maybe too long a lay. Other people have reported it to be a good piece. As a sax player I like the feel of the duckbill. The Morgan seems very responsive, with the amount of resistance I like. Intonation is very good. I play a Leblanc Classic II, which is a slightly smaller bore than your LL. YMMV.

Thanks for the posts. I hear a lot of doublers raving about the Morgans. I play a morgan on sax and love it. I decided to pass on the Larry Coombs piece and ordered a RM28 from ralph morgan this morning. I cant wait

In spite of the fact that I have tried Ralph's mouthpieces and do not like them, he is a knowledgable craftsman and his products are good. For me, it was the feel of the "duckbill" that bothered me, not the sound or response. I do play a lot of saxophone (sop, alto, tenor & bari) but still prefer the traditonal beak on my clarinets. Just what you get used to, I guess............
