 NIU Clarinet Event

I trust this is not inappropriate, but I though some of us midwesterners would find this interesting. I just recieved an flyer from Northern Illinois University advertising a "Clarinet Cornucopia". Of particular interest (to me, anyhow) is an master class and recital offering by Laurie Bloom, Chicago Symphony Bass Clarinetist. The dates are March 29th and 30th and for more info call (815) 753-8372.

(I'll leave it up to NIU to put this in the events calender where it probably really belongs)

In what city is NIU located? I assume not far from Chicago.

I think i can help you with that. Nothern Illinois Unversity is located in Dekalb IL. It's about sixty miles west on I-88 from chicago. Hope that helps.
