Cardiff Clarinet Convention 2016

The Cardiff Clarinet Convention has been attracting clarinettists of all ages and abilities since its creation in 1992. With special guest artists from around the World, Leslie Craven and Peter Fielding of the Welsh National Opera Orchestra have implemented an innovative educational day to inspire current and future musical generations.

This year, alongside course leader Leslie Craven, the Convention will be welcoming Vandoren UK artist Anna Hashimoto as our guest artist. Lenny Sayers, Principal Bass Clarinet of the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, will be a guest tutor.

The day will comprise of masterclasses, ensemble opportunities, recital performances, reed class and repair class. Our sponsors Vandoren UK, John Packer, D'addario, Silverstein, Woodwind & Co and Forton Music will also have trade stalls.

The Convention will be held on the 24th April 2016 at the Cardiff University School of Music.
