New/Electronic music with world music influence

I'm a clarinetist in NYC focusing on new and electronic music. I'm interested in working on a paper for school about new or (especially) electronic music for clarinet with world music influence. With the exception of Lowenstern's "Sha," which is inspired by a Klezmer tune, and works by David Krakauer (which I plan to mention in the paper), there seems to be little "academic" music written with the music of other, non-western cultures in mind. I'm looking for any reference to world music at all, whether it's a quote of a folk melody, the allusion of styles of playing from other cultures, or (less desirably) the inclusion of world instruments or sounds in the electronic score (Kyung Mee Choi's "Ceaseless Cease" features some eastern percussion sounds in the electronic part).

I am not looking for any one culture in specific; in fact, it would be ideal if I could find influences from cultures around the globe. One piece I did find was Chapman Welch's "Moire" (available to listen to on his website), which is inspired by the shehnai playing of Bismallah Khan (India).

Anyone know of other pieces or composers who might fit these parameters?
