 Which metal?

Is silver plated keys (on the clarinet) better than nickel plated keys? Because i heared that nickel starts to look worn out after a short period.

It's all a preference really, and it doesn't especially matter. People will most likely be more worried about your music rather than what your instrument looks like. Silver tarnishes a little easier, but is very easily cleaned. If you're not heavy into playing yet I wouldn't spend the extra dollars on the more expensive key plating.
