 Reed Adjusting Tools
Author: luigi

One site recommended OOO of OOOO polishing paper for removing small amounts of fiber. If this is wrapped over the end of a narrow width of 'pop-sickle' stick or over a rounded-end lead pencil eraser should in not work? This would save getting into knives and sharpening tools. We will not be making reeds. Also one source shows that plaque thickness is 0.27mm. I have access to dark blue steel banding that is 0.51mm thick. Is this too thick so that dampened reeds will crack when it is inserted and sanding done to adjust reeds?
