http://www.wwbw.com That's the Woodwind Brasswind web site. U can find student, professional, plastic, metal, wood, cheap, expensive piccs there. They might have some in the outlet part.

woodwind and brasswind, and music123 are excellent places to get one. They are basically the same company, but if you live in New Jersey use woodwind brasswind because you won't be charged sales tax. Vice versa for Indiana. I got my piccolo on wwbw. I had narrowed it down to 3 piccs using a criteria of price, features, ect. Then they shipped all three to me and let me play them, and I kept the one I liked the best. It worked out really good, and they were cheaper then normal stores.

d-oboe, i would go to the store and buy one, but they are more expensive, and I already know which one i want, a Yamaha YPC-32.

I agree with going to a music store and playing one for yourself. If you just order one online, you might not get the picc YOU sound best on. At a store they might have a few models for you to play of the YPC 32, because each one will sound different, even if they are the same kind. Plus, a store will often service your instrument once you've bought it from them.

yes, the instruments may technically be of the same model...but honestly if I was to spend a large sum of money like as for a picc, I would like to at least know that I can play on it. Buying from the web is never a recommended option simply because you can just never be sure. It would be a wise idea to include a professional in on this, simply because they know the do's and don'ts when it comes to purchasing instruments. Oh and about price, there are no bargains, you get what you pay for. In other words, yes the piccolo on the web may be a great deal of 1000 compared to the 2500 one in the store, but I can bet there is a good reason for that!
