On one of the schools plastic yamaha piccolos, i can hit the really really high B Natural(5 ledger line above staff). Is it impossible to go any higher than this on a plastic piccolo? On any piccolo? I know there are fingerings for notes above that, but how do you get the notes to speak?

Confused

Hi man, let me tell you something about this topic:
To play high notes, you must open your throat but not too much; your tongue must be placed in the high part of your mouth, and your air column must be very thin. Besides, all this have to be supported by presure in your abdomen.
I hope this tips make a diference in your playing.

Mc Cow.
