this is actually my first year playing piccolo. I am playing it for my school marching band. I was just wondering if there is anyone that can help me play it better that would be great. I want to be a little bit better than what I am now. thanx.

Getting a private teacher would be an option. If you have a local symphony, maybe you could try contacting the piccolo player.

First off I will start with some basics most ppl don't know about when playing piccolo. Although the piccolo has a much smaller emboucher hole than the flute, don't make your emboucher to small, try to stay some what relaxed. If you find that you accidentily spit into the piccolo that means your emboucher is to small. Use the same air support as flute. Work on tone. I will to some research on site to help you more so that I don't have to type it all here.
Hope this helps so far.

it's not any different from playing flute
it's true it is a bit harder but it only took me a few weeks to get used to the difference though
if you're having real problems go to a flute teacher
