I heard from a radio station that talked about the difference between music education and school education (Actually, this happened about a month ago, but I just wanted to talk about this in here). They said that a student goes to school everyday and can ask what he/she doesn't understand so he/she can understand. But, as a music student, the student has to wait a week to see his/her private teacher to ask what the student doesn't understand. If music education is taught in the same way that school education is taught, the student will understand more and faster (I agree, but that actually happens during in music college, not during in the elementary, jr. high, and high school).
And they talked about if a music student gets a right teacher, the music student can succeed (I would say 'higher possibility of success').
There were more, but I don't really remember. If anyone wants to share any thought, I would be very grateful.

why should a student wait to ask a teacher? when ever i have a question i go to my teacher, whether i have band that day or not. shouldn't the student of a private teacher have their number? if they ever wanted to reschedule, they'd need it, shouldn't they be able to ask their private instructor if they have a question?

Well also, to help, people can join numerous of music groups so they can ask questions pratically every day, and get lots of different help/tips from different people. I am in Band everyday and I am in my churches Orchestra on Wed. nights and pretty much all the time on sunday, also I have piano on thursday. So I have 3 different groups to learn stuff from. So if people are in different things then they can ask more questions. Also I m currently not taking private lessons on flute, Clarinet or guitar, but obviuously piano.

Yes, there are many other ways as you guys have said. I just listened to the story from a radio station. Those are not my thoughts.
And I shouldn't really have said it's just a question. What if the student really needs help? The student really can't meet the private teacher everyday. That will cost too much. What if the student really wants to major on whatever instrument he/she plays and wants to learn everything about it?

if the student wants to major on that instrument, that student will find the best solution. you can always phone up some poeple you may know who can help you. or you can go to online resources(ones like this site) and ask questions. a teacher or instructor is not the only means of finding answers. books can help you, probably every peice of information has been printed on paper, a good method book would probably help you. Hope this helps.

This site really helps with everyday questions and stuff. But the thing I wanted to bring up was that I heard about a private school that has regular subjects and stuff in the morning, but the afternoon was dedicated to which ever art the srudent was there for- music, for example. For high school! it sounded awesome!!

I think that kind of schools is awesome, too (in fact, I want to go to that kind of high school right now, if possible j/k). And if you want to share any more stories such as this one, I would answer them for you. I'll be glad to do that.
