Is there really such thing as a flute made out of glass?
If so, does it sound good AND does it have the same range as the flute?

All the crystal flutes I've seen are more like recorders than flutes, but that's just my experience.

There are Crystal Flutes that are like regular flute but they have different finguring system and no keys. I don't know how they sound becuase i have never heard one or played one.

I'll clarify a little. The crystal flutes I've seen have been held like regular flutes and have a hole as a wooden piccolo would that you blow in (instead of a plate like most flutes). But because all the holes are just holes in the cylinder, it's fingered in the same way as the recorder and mainly does the same thing as a recorder. The lengths and keys of these crystal flutes also vary. They are also generally one piece rather than three. Just a long tube with holes in it.

Crystal flutes usually have six holes and no keys, so they are not fingered the same as a recorder. They are fingered the same as a simple system flute, Baroque flute or Irish Tin Whistle. They probably sound breathy compared with a silver flute.

Hall crystal flutes are made of Pyres. They come in four sizes, of which I have the largest. With sufficient practice, it is possible to produce a beautiful sound. I received one for Christmas, but have scarcely touched it, due to illness.

You are correct in regards to most of the fingerings. My 'crystal flute' has the same range as 'regular' ones, but requires a bit more venting and use of harmonics.
