 long bore Vs. Short bore WHAT IS THAT!?

i've seen this before and i still have no idea waht a long bore or a short bore is! could someone please tell me the difference and what it means.Thank you

never mind i figured it out.
a long bore bassoon doesnt have that lump in the top of it

a short bore does hae it
