Hi Im looking to buy my first ever sax i would prefer it to be second hand and a reasonable price ( nothing over $2500 australian ) Im not quite sure where to look and what brand of instrument to look for.
So if anyone can help me with information on what kind of alto sax is suitable for me or wear to look please email me.

Selmer or Yahamah are excellent brands. you can get away with Vito, Jupiter, S&B. what you should do is when you purchase is test play to make sure everything is in place and isn't a piece of junk. you can get away with a lesser known brand, but make sure you play it, or you could be spending an aweful lot of money for a lamp. make sure pads are in good shape, keys aren't miss ailigned, and no major dings or dents. hope this helps.
