I am trying to master the Dflat major scale (in thirds) but the fingering easily gets messed up. Does anyone have tips?

Practice! Practice! Practice! Start slowly. Think about the fingering of the next note before you move your fingers. Use a metronome and increase speed slowly. If you get going too fast and mess up, then slow down again.

Concentrate slowly to see which fingers are moving too fast or too slow. Most of the time this is the problem for woodwind players.

Hautbois raises a good point. On most people the "ring" finger of each hand is the slowest to respond. That is the finger next to your pinky. It seems the weakest finger of all. I heard someone say it is because the pinky & the ring finger are connected to the same muscle. I don't know about that, but is my slowest responding finger. You may want to pay special attention to note changed involving these fingers.

As you might have already known, the infamous C# which is terribly out of tune on the saxophone, can be adjusted by adding fingerings, which i think appears on the website, which adds the warmth and resonance to balance up the whole scale. Aside from that, i think Fernando gave good advise on just about all of what you need. All the best and keep practising!
