 RE: CannonBall Sax

Dave,

I have been searching for the alto sound that is wide, resonant, and powerful. I purchased a keilwerth straight alto, no luck. I sold it and tried a yamaha 875 custom, too bright and too thin. I heard a lot of good things about the Cannonball line so I took a ride to Philly to try them. ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW! It was like falling in love with playing the sax all over again.

Gerald Albright is right, these are tremendous saxes. I'm looking at getting the soprano very soon. I gladly sold the 875 to get the Cannonball. It feels like my old Mark VI but better. The intonation, feel and the sound is incredible.

Altissmo; no problem, lush subtones; no problem. I'm seriouly thinking about selling my black nickel plated Guardala tenor for the black nickel plated Cannonball. Both are set up very similar. All in all the Cannonball alto (black nickel plate/silver plated keys) is the best purchase of a saxophone since my Guardala tenor in 1995.
