hi, I'm currently in the market for an Eb clarinet. i've found one by Amati for about $1200. I would like to know if anyone has had success with this brand. I currently play principal clarinet in my band and was assistant principal at districts and play on a buffet r-13. Will this brand still provide me with a good tone and acceptable intonation? Any imput would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Derek

errr.... buffet is the brand name of the clarinet, Buffet Crampoon of Paris. Also, principal refers to the first chair first part of a section. Anyone have any useful information? lol

Oh my god!! principal is another name for being the highest player or strongest in the section.. kinda like first chair... I can't believe the intelligence of some people.
