How is a Low low B and Bb played? i have some beautiful celtic music, and it has this extremely low note in it many times. thanks!

The standard flute does not go this low. You can buy a B-foot for many models of flutes that will get you down to the B. However, to the best of my knowledge, you are out of luck on a low Bb.
Your other choice is to transpose the music up to a key that puts all the notes within the range of the flute.

If you ahve a b foot on your flute (included in most new openholed flutes, but not all) the low-b is possible, but I have yet to find a low-Bb fingering or flute. If you are really into this, you could get an alto or bass flute- but I don't think you'd do that for one song!

There are Bb foots as well as B foots, although Bb is much less common and I don't think any maker is manufacturing them as such.
But for Irish music, I would think that the tone quality of low B would not quite be what you're looking for (and definitely not low Bb). Playing up an octave is one option, or you could pick up a whistle which would be a better match tone-wise for your purposes.
