 d sharp scale

is d sharp a scale? i know it is e flat but how would you write it as d sharp? also what would the key signature of d sharp look like? i think the scale would be #d, #e, ?, #g, #a, #b, ?, #d i think

D# is a theoretically possible scale, however it is not one of the standard 14 scales you see because it would have to utilize double sharps.

The D# major scale would be written:

D# E# Fx G# A# B# Cx D# (x is the symbol for double sharp)

I guess the key signature in the G clef for such a scale would have first, an "x" on the top line F, then another "x" on the third line C, then a sharp on G, D, A, E, and B in that order. Theoretically that should work, however I reiterate that this is not a standard key signature, so who knows?

D# minor would be a commonly-used scale. It's equivalent to F#.
