Buescher true tone C or Bb??

I'm looking at buying a buescher true tone tenor that says it is low pitch and goin by the serial # it's from 1925.
I personally don't play, it's for my son and
I know this is going to sound dumb I know he needs a Bb instrument. Is that what this sax is. I don't want to get a c melody for sure.

tenors can be pitched in c as well, if u can, simply blow the open note on the instrument (no fingers down). then strike the note C# on the piano, if it sounds the same then its a C melody tenor, if u have to play a B natural on the piano to make it sound the same as the tenor, then it's pitched in Bb.
