What are throat tones?
If their is anyone that switched from sax to clarinet how long did it take to get the fingerings down 100%?
Do you still need to drop the jaw when you play the low notes on the clarinet?

1)from F(or G?) to Bb(but can be C if you use the Bb key and top side key)
2)don't know
3)Only if you instrument goes really sharp, check with a tuner.

Throat tones are G, A, Ab and Bb on the staff.
I didn't really switch because I still play the sax, but it took me about a short while to get the fingerings down because a lot of the fingerings are very much alike. But sometimes when I have to play high C with my left pinky, I can't find it, and sometimes when I have to do cross fingerings,I get a little mixed up!
I don't need to drop my jaw when I play low notes, but sometimes I do if I feel that I am out of tune, and sometimes it helps.

The throat tones are the ones which have the thumb hole uncovered, at the top of the chalumeau register.
In general you should not change your embouchure for any of the notes on the clarinet. You should have one embouchure that you use for all notes. If your clarinet is in good condition, the bottom notes should be some of the easiest ones to produce, so there is no need to drop your jaw.

I must disagree with Eoin. Your embouchure should change slightly from register to register. For example, try playing a low E and slurring to 3rd line B without changing your embouchure. You will find that slight changes are needed for the notes to play correctly.

never change embouchure on clarinet, only on high notes on the clarion register. sax fingerings from clarient weren't overly difficult, took a month or two to stop playing clarinet fingerings on sax. but some notes are the same. hope this helps.
