Does any body out there have suggestions to play ridiculously high notes on clarinet with good sound and consistently? I can reach the second c above the staff no problem, but the c#,d,and eb right above it are somewhat inconsistent in tone quality. Notes above this only come out good on 1 in 20 reeds. Also I'd like to find a fingering chart of quarter tones,fifth tones,etc. for a bohehm system clarinet.(I found an extensive source on the internet but it was for bassoon, oboes, and heckelphones)

The second C above the stave is the "official" top note of the instrument. It's not designed to go higher than that, so anything you can come with is up to you and will be different from one instrument to another.

the key to playing notes above the double high C is much more dependant on you breath support and embouchure than the fingering. Sometimes it might be necessary to change your embouchure for the really high notes. try practicing opverblowing the lowest A you can play, then overblow the note you get, then overblow that again. Practice this with various notes. After that using the altissimo fingerings suggested here should seem easier.

The only thing I can tell you about those really high notes is blow really hard and practice them everyday. It will get better. And this is just the beginning. There are much more higher notes than that. Start on a middle G and go up the cromatic scale slowly. (remember, if you have trouble, blow harder)C#, D, etc. aren't ridiculously high. If you can, there is a song called Suite on Greek Love Songs. Get it if possible. I played it in an honor band once. The song IS relatively hard, but if you get the 1st clarinet part...it will help you "go all over the place" with the high notes, really high notes, and middle notes.
