I've been playing the clarinet for 3 weeks or so and my sax has been in the shop because i thought i could trust my friend to watch it at a basketball game, but any way do u think by me playing the clarinet it will effect my emboucher playing the sax as well since they have different embouchers?

My experience is that my saxophone playing got better (in terms of tone) since I started playing clarinet.

Last week, my clarinet was being repaired and I wasn't at all contented with my saxophone playing. Perhaps it's just psychological, but it won't weaken your saxophone playing, on the contrary!

Many great sax players are fine clarinet players too. Phil Woods, Philippe Nadaud, Paul Desmond....

you'd be surprised how much the same they are too. it wont effect your embouchure as long as your practise both regularily. otherwise one will develope and one will leg behind. the big thing that will harm your embouchure the most is playing a brass instrument. they are completely different. hope this helps.
