Little Mermaid book 1 lists pic, flute, alto flute and clarinet. Does anybody know how much clarinet is in that book?
Thanks!

To answer my question, I now know there are about 156 measures of clarinet in that book.

I'll be playing Little Mermaid in November (Broadway version and Reed 3 I believe, as I was told to bring clarinet and bass clarinet). The flute and sax parts will be covered by students. This is a high school musical production and the music director likes to use a combination of paid musicians and students. I usually cover all of the doubles in whatever book I get, but I don't mind splitting it. Gives the students a chance to play and besides, while I do own a flute, I don't have a soprano or tenor sax (just an alto).
Anyone out there played this show before?

That's kind of misleading, she doesn't really "commit suicide". Actually Ariel's deal with Ursula is that she'll turn to sea foam (die) if she doesn't marry the prince. But when Ariel arrives on the land, she finds that the Prince is in love with somebody else. Rather than mess up their relationship, Ariel lets herself die.
