I have a Signet 100 just like this one, same case and everything. I got it in 1979. Mine looked as new as this one -- in 1979. We paid about the same price -- in 1979.
Since Selmer doesn't make the Signet anymore (they don't, do they?), is this a bit overpriced? I must admit it looks beautifully preserved, right down to the yellow tape on the mouthpiece cap and the swab that looks just like the one I had in 7th grade.

Yours is a better horn, it has years of music run through...
If you're shopping, time to look to a 'step-up' instrument. There are better places for you to put your hard-earned money than in another student clarinet.

That photo looks like a scan of a 1979/80 catalogue page rather than somthing supposed to be ilustrating the actual instrument.
