Just got parts for a Frank Bridge Orchestral Suite - "The Sea"
Must have been previously hired by a German Orchestra ( or principal clarinet was German), as comments are in German.
It also has a few markings pencilled in above some notes and this could be a quirk of the German system clar - anybody confirm below?
This is by no means vital - but I've not come across it before.
F nat (top line) and Bb (below stave) have a little "o" marked above them.
Bb (below stave) sometimes carries "4"
Eb (bottom line) carries "2".
(These are not related to timing but they may be something to do with resonance fingerings or cryptic notation to sharpen on flatten particular notes )
I'm not familiar with German fingering, but it could just be something simple I'm missing.
BTW the bass clt part is written for BC in A mostly, and one movement for Bb Bass !
Anyone shed some light ??

Here you are:
o = cross fingering:
F5 (o) = RT 123|1-3
Bb3 (o) = T 123|1-3
4 = ring finger:
Bb3 (4) = T 123|12Bb-
2 = index finger:
Eb4 (4) = T 12-4|---
