I have to write a paper for a college class regarding the kinder clarinet and I haven't been able to find much information on it. If anyone could give me feedback on any aspect of it, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

Kinder clarinets come in 2 main sizes. There is an Eb Kinder Klari which is basically a boehm Eb soprano with slightly less key work for example no right hand F/C, left hand E/B and only one F#/C# I can't remember which side. There are also instruments built in C and a good example is the Lyon's C clarinet which you can find in the sponsor pages. These instruments are made deliberately light and with keywork closer together than the standard Boehm clarinet in Bb. This is to make the clarinet accessible to young and small players who can transfer easily to Bb instrument when they grow big enough. The Eb Kinder clari's use an Eb mouthpiece and reed and the C instruments use a Bb reed. They are often best played with the mouthpiece that accompanies them. I have heard of some players using a Kinder as cheap Eb option.
A number of European makers specialising in German system instruments make Kinder Klari's to help learners overcome the large finger stretches on non Boehm clarinets. Most adult Boehm players have trouble with the right hand finger stretch on even the most sophisticated Oehler system instruments, let alone Albert system horns, so small children have little chance of playing a Bb until their hands develop. Again instruments are available in Eb or C although the German cut reeds is used on all instruments from Eb to A, the mouthpieces are different sizes but faced to play with a white master reed. The Kinder Klari is used more often in the German School of clarinet playing and again they are often used as a cheap Eb or C.
