Hi,
I'm not sure if this BB is for clarinet topics only, but here's my problem anyway:
I have a Rico Royal graftonite baritone sax mouthpiece. It is smaller in diameter than a regular hard rubber mouthpiece, so standard baritone ligature is too big and tenor sax ligature is too small.
Does anybody know if Vandoren Optimum Ligature for Baritone sax will
work on it? If not, I'm open to suggestions.

Have you tried lining the ligature with thin sheet cork? Heavy paper (manila) might work in a pinch. That might keep you going until you can find a lig that fits better.

I'd suggest posting your message to the International Sax On The Web forum. There are any number of Optimum users there who can help you. You can hook up to the forum easily enough by doing a google search on "sax on the web".
Robert's suggestion about a Rovner is a good one. It will be easier to find a Rovner ligature that fits your mouthpiece. Personally, I'd suggest either the MkIII or EDII models instead of Dark or Light.

Roger is on the right track (on both counts)...
The MkIII and EDII models have a metal spring insert that will allow some flexibility in reed placement.
Lots of players dig the Vandy for the metalwork.
Me, I like the fabric Rovners, they won't scratch my gear.

Ironic that each suggested lig costs more than the Graftonite - brand new.
I have a RR Graftonite and a Metalite, and use an el cheapo metal lig. Your local music supplier or tech should have one that fits. Maybe a cap, too.
