yesterday i was in this music store, (after getting my clarinet fixed) and i looked around for clarinet books, and i skimmed thru Accent on Achievement? or something like that. and it said how to blow. this morning i woke up, got curious and tried that, and i made the um.... the... low siren sound. you know when the police chase you..
i told my sister that when i can blow, i'd first learn to play the siren sound and i got it. so happy now. hehe.

your right thumb will probably hurt for a little while because it's not used to the weight of the clarinet...
your left thumb might be hurting due to too much pressure on the thumb hole or also improper hand positioning (which is why you should really look for lessons, they can help you fix all that stuff)
glad you're having fun:)

You're having way too much fun Expect your thumb to hurt and your lips to feel loose after awhile, they're aren't used to it yet. Don't worry though, they'll get stronger as you play.
Happy Clarineting!
