Does anyone have any information about Selmer 10Gs with serial numbers starting with D? The Selmer serial number chart stops at A.
Might this be an instrument produced in the 1980s?

I think it is one from the late 80s. Not sure why the other letters aren't included, but they did go past A in the serial numbers!
Of course, the person could have done that because the better 10Gs begin with XYZ...maybe they thought they weren't worth listing!

I have read in the clarinet archives the early 10Gs; 1060s and 1970s have an uncorrectable problem of right hand sharpness in the lower register; very sharp low A, Bb,B and even C. These instruments are virtually impossible to play in tune with a piano.
