I went to the Boosey and Hawks US office outside of LA to pick up my oboe today. Even though it was not "officially" under warranty (I bought it on Ebay), they agreed to fix the cracks. Francis (warranty and repair) and Francois (their tech, who is quite accomplished) were both quite courteous and helpful. They went out of their way to amke sure I was satisfied with the Buffet product.

Good to hear!! A friend clarinetist of mine had a similar experiance on visiting the Buffet facilities in France last year. She said the were very friendly and gave her the "red carpet" treatment in a tour of their factory. No "freebies", however.
