I bought an old clarinet from my neighbor. It is German and has a wrap-around register key. The wood seems to be in good shape, and it plays well, with the exception of some bent trill keys. Has a nice tone, too. My neighbor is retired and says he bought about 12 years ago from a friend who was at that time 82 years old, and she had played it since she was young. She gave him a couple of method books (Reineke and Lazarus) too, which are copyright 1917. Is there a market for these? I confess to being less than savvy about old instruments, although I am a clarinetist. Can someone who IS savvy please counsel me? thanks!

Hmm, sounds like an oldie but a goodie - does it have any noticeable cracks?

Karin-
Does this instrument have any identifying makers stamp or brand name? Does the arrangement of keys seem similar to a French or Boehm system clarinet or is it different? Finally what is the total number of keys?
