Looks like a Penzel-Mueller (eagle trademark, U.S. made).

It is probably more than 65 years old. Albert systems pretty much had died out in this country by 1930 plus the case style (if original) is of an earlier period.

Dave - I agree US made [eagle], but I have a 1920?[Boehm] C by Conn with the same eagle and a Pupeschi-Conn 1895? with somewhat-similar keywork, wrap-around register, trill keys, doubled F/C pads. BUT not the [Boehm-type] ring for 3rd finger left hand fork Eb/Bb!! Looks to me like a "cross-over" model between Albert-Mueller and Boehm, at the turn-of-century. Vytas, I'll bet that Debbie Reeves at the Shrine to Music Museum , Vermillion, SD would like for you to will it to her for inclusion in their Conn history [I gave an early Eb Alto cl]. Give us a serial no, we may be able to date more precisely. Interesting, Don

Don,...

I just won this clarinet today and had no chance to look at it yet. I also remember seeing the same eagle on the older clarinet but I wasn’t sure if it was Conn or B&H.

Thanks.

Vytas

The problem we're going to have with the eBay pics and links is that they'll be dead in a relatively short period of time, confusing people later when they go and look through this thread.

The barrel shown with the Eagle is a C.G. CONN.....wish I had it. It matches the bell of an old CONN I have,....
