I am looking for an arrangement of the Krommer Concerto for Two Clarinets, Op. 35, for band. It was originally scored for orchestra. I was wondering if anyone knew if a band arrangement had been done and where I could find it.

mindy...Don & Cindy Christensen have recorded the Op.35 in an arrangement for 2 clarinets and military band:

They are a husband and wife team that live in Leipzig. I am not sure if their recording was of their original arrangement or not...GBK

The version the Christensen's did (according to the liner notes) was arranged by Bernard Henrik Crusell a Finnish clarinetist and composer (a number of important works for clarinet) who lived from 1775 - 1838. Perhaps if you contact the Christensen's they can point you toward the a source for the music. Don (and perhaps occasionally Cindy) used to participate on the Klarinet list. If you search the list for "Christensen" without the quotes, you should be able to find an e-mail address though I can't guarantee it will be a current one.
Best regards,
jnk
