Availability of Robert James "Weight Lifter&q

In old posts here I've seen mention of the Robert James "Weight Lifter" stands, on which you actually rest the instrument while playing.

I've recently started playing baritone sax in a college big band, and it sure is heavy to hold. I actually have one of the "Weight Lifter" stands for tenor. I don't end up using it with the tenor though. For the baritone though, something like that might really come in handy. The tenor stand doesn't work with the baritone sax though, it won't go low enough to rest the bari on, while sitting down at least.

When I tried the phone number for Robert James products, as listed in old messages on this board, and I've seen it in old issues of Windplayer mag, I get a disconnected number message. I tried an e-mail address that was listed, and my e-mail bounced.

I looked in the online Woodwind and Brasswind catalog, and didn't see those stands there.

Has that company gone out of business? Anyone know where some are still stocked? Anyone have a used one for baritone saxophone, that they might like to sell?

Or, a similar product to rest a bari sax on while playing?

Thank you,
Mike

P.S. OT, just curious. I just discovered this site a couple days ago. Cool site. But I can't figure out why it's called "Sneezy"??? I hope no one is sneezing into their horn!

See http://www.sneezy.org/clarinet/BBoard/read.html?f=1&i=14027&t=13984 for the answer to the last question ... it's a little dated (Sneezy doesn't have its own T1 any more ;^( )

Hmm, also - Mark C is the "god" of sneezy - so it's always appropriate to worhship him and burn paper money for the web site's good fortune - kidding. Welcome - it's a wonderful resource

Mike

In answer to your question: I don't know.

But someone at International Music Suppliers might.

The web site is http://musicstartshere.com/ where you can get catalog information and a toll free phone number to the store.
