First - Thanks for all your help about Crystal Mouthpieces. I tried mine again with another reed and it blows and sounds quite nice.
Another question: Many years ago I remember that the Brilhart mouthpiece was "The Thing". This was the White Tonalin. I have seen a few of these on eBay. They also have a number such as #3, or #5. I believe that this refers to the Lay. What do the numbers mean and what would be a Medium lay? Are they still being made? Also any other information on these mouthpieces would be appreciated.
I recently bought a Brilhart Ebolin Special on eBay. I didn't spend much for it so I assume that it is a cheapy. It was new and still in the box. These are distributed by Selmer. Can anyone tell me anything about this mouthpiece.
I am a very amateurish player and just picking up the instrument again after many, many years. I am starting to get a nice sound from it and trying to play pretty tunes a-la Acker Bilk.

The new Brilhart Ebolin mouthpieces I have seen usually have too wide side and tip rails. Narrowing these rails and refacing the table can make a reasonable mouthpiece with an interesting sound. Good Luck.

I don't believe it is mentioned on that informative site that Arnold Brilhart sold his trademark (his name) to Selmer around 1968. Anything labeled "Brilhart" after then was not necessarily designed by Arnold Brilhart. In later years, he worked for Rico.

Well, now I'm curious...who is Acker Bilk. Sounds like a composer? What sort of nusic does he write and where can I get it?
On another subject, does anyone know a site or a source where I can get sheet music of sinbgle songs? For example, I've been listening to Ben Webster recently (wonderful stuff!) and would like to get music of some of the songs he plays--for example, "With every breath I take." Any help appreciated
