Why is this post ok and Irwin got in trouble when he mentioned my GreenLine? He didn't benefit any from mentioning it---but someone who really, really wanted the GreenLine is pretty happy that he did.

You'd better believe it! I'm the one who got the Greenline! I would never have known it was for sale if not for Irwin's posting.

I understand the need to keep the classifieds separate from the Board to be sure, but I don't necessarily see any harm if folks like Bob or Irwin who have nothing to gain point to items on ebay, even if they are for sale from someone we "know" from the Board.

I guess it's a tough call for you sometimes, Mark, and I certainly defer to your wisdom!

I agree that Bob is a great guy! He and I have conversed several times and I think it's fine for him to recommend a great mouthpiece. How else would we know one was available?

Ebay is very time-consuming to search. If we have have a problem with the established ethics of the phorum, perhaps some other feature could be activated where special finds can be announced. I know that I often find things that I can't afford but that someone would like to have.

I have to agree that I usually click onto the eBay links when they're posted. It's interesting to see some of the unusual stuff and good stuff that's for sale. I've bought a couple of clarinets from clicking onto the links.
